Join us for a Saturday of Service – Clothes without Borders

The Soroptimists of Greater New Haven are happy to present the third installment of Saturday of Service – a program for Soroptimists and anyone else interested in volunteering their time and bodies to help with community service projects in the area. In the past we have painted the cafeteria at Polly McCabe, a high school for pregnant teens in New Haven and spring-cleaned the children’s room at New Haven Home Recovery, a transitional housing program.

THIS Saturday we are helping:

Saturday October 1, 2011
11 a.m.- 4 p.m.

The Soroptimists of Greater New Haven will be organizing, cleaning and decorating IRIS’s thrift shop.   Clothes without  Borders is run by IRIS, a non profit that helps refugees and other displaced people establish new lives, regain hope, and contribute to the vitality of Connecticut’s communities.
